Go  Skating!

Winter is in full swing in Seoul.  Embrace the chill and practice the winter sport that greatly encourages hand holding: ice skating!  Around Seoul there are several great rinks.
Seoul Square Ice Skating Rink
Location: 23, Eulji-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul
Period: December 15- February 23
Hours: Monday-Thursday, Sunday 10:00-21:30 (8 times)
           Friday, Saturday, Holiday 10:00-23:00 (9 times)
Price: 1,000 won per hour, rentals included 
Subway Directions: 
1) City Hall Station (Subway Line 1, 2), Exit 6.
2) Gwanghwamun Station (Subway Line 5), Exit 5.

3) Euljiro 1-ga Station (Subway Line 2), Exit 1 or 8. 

Lotte World
Location: 40-1 Jamsil-dong, Songpa-gu, SeoulSubway: Jamsil Station (Seoul Subway Line 2 & 8), Exit 4- connected to the station
Period: Open year round
Hours: Weekdays 11-23:30/  Weekends 10-23:00
Price:  13,000 won including rentals
Subway directions: Jamsil Station (Line 2) → follow underground path to Lotte World
World Cup Skating Rink
Location:  Pyeonghwa Park (across from World Cup Stadium) Pyeonghwa Square is converted into a public outdoor skating rink.
Period: Late December – mid-February
Hours: 10:00-22:00
Price: 1,000 won per hour/ 1,000 per hour for rentals
Subway Directions: World Cup Stadium Station (Line 6) exit 1
Garden 5 Skating RinkLocated in Songpa-gu,
Bonus: Go sledding next door at Haneul Park’s Pyenonghwa Park World Cup Snow Park open January 1- February 17
 OR Go for a walk along Hangang River after you skate

Location:  Songpa-gu, Garden5 shopping center’s Life Building (within the Garden Complex)
Period:  December 7- February 9
Hours: 10:00-22:00
Price: 2,000 won admission/ 1,000 won rentals

Olympic Park Skating Rink
Location: Olympic Park
Period: December 20- February 9
Hours: 9:00- 20:30
Price: 1,500 won for 1.5 hours, rentals included

Subway Directions:  Mongchontonseong Station (Line 8) exit 1
